Weekly Recap: Run, Mangrove, Ma Rainey, Sound of Metal & More!

As we approach the holidays (and another American status update suggesting we continue staying indoors), there's certainly a lot available to watch. This week presents a new thriller, Run, which does its job evoking Hitchcock to some degree. There's the first entry in Amazon Prime's Small Axe anthology, "Mangrove," which has plenty of relevance for now. I also have an early review of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, starring Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman, coming to Netflix in December. There's a number of other movies hitting VOD worth checking out as well.

Additionally, there are more podcasts we put together, including our episode covering Freaky, and our commentary track for Unstoppable, and more. Finally, there are my various essays lists, and new trailers to dig into as well. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading!
