Weekly Recap: The Fabelmans, Devotion, Strange World, Glass Onion & More!

Image
I have not made a direct comparison, but this may be one of the best collections of films receiving Thanksgiving releases in some time. Looking for entertaining awards fair?  Spielberg's  The Fabelmans  is right there. Want a fun animated feature?  Disney's Strange World  has lots of wonders. Want a well-acted war drama?  Devotion   brings the goods. How about a terrific ensemble mystery film? Well, the  Knives Out   sequel,   Glass Onion  is out for one week only in theaters, and it's a blast. I have reviews for all of these and more. Plus, we have new podcast episodes covering She Said, The Menu , and awards season thus far .  So, feel free to check out all these reviews, podcasts, lists, trailers, and other fun. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading!

Listen in to hear the group discuss what makes this entry stand out, where its legacy stands, the wide range of character actors involved, what Jeunet brings to the film, and more. There’s plenty more discussion about the amount of slime and smoke in this movie, the excessive amount of hallways and corridors, the appeal of an alien hybrid, and lots of fun tangents as well. Weekly Recap: The Menu, Bones And All, She Said, Black Panther & More!

Image
It's kind of an offbeat week for award season. In addition to  Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , there's now  The Menu  and  Bones and All , two films that stray from the norm by presenting dark comedy and a road trip movie unlike any other, given what the two leads are all about (similar to  The Menu , it does involve eating). Of course, for more traditional awards fare,  She Said  has also opened and has plenty on its mind. I have reviews for all of these and more. Plus, we have new podcast episodes covering Black Panther . There are also my continued write-ups for  The Walking Dead , which will be ending this coming Sunday . So, feel free to check out all these reviews, podcasts, lists, trailers, and other fun. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading!
