Image
This month’s Out Now with Aaron and Abe commentary is coming at you like a plague…that you want! Aaron and Abe are joined by Brandon Peters and Yancy Berns to discuss the silent film classic  Nosferatu, from director F.W. Murnau  in honor of its 100 th anniversary. Wrapping up our horror specials for 2022, this discussion features plenty of thoughts on the impact this film had, other takes on Dracula and vampire media, and the ways cinema has evolved since the days of the silent film. There’s plenty of discussion about the time this film was coming out, how its horror choices separate it from others, what’s great about this take on the story, and lots of fun tangents as well. So now, if you’ve got a couple of hours to kill… You can also find links to the episode at AudioBoom or Spotify .  Subscribe via iTunes HERE

Weekly Recap: Banshees of Inisherin, Wendell & Wild, Terrifier 2 & More!

Image
It's Halloween weekend, and I have various forms of terror, but first - a dark comedy. The Banshees of Inisherin  serves as a reunion of the In Bruges  group, and it's one of the best films of the year. However, as far as horror goes, Terrifier   2  is the sleeper box office success that delivers on the splatter, while Wendell & Wild  has plenty going for it as a great stop-motion animated film. Plus, there are plenty of bonus horror-themed podcasts ,   as well as my continued recaps of Atlanta  and The Walking Dead . Additionally, we have a new podcast episode covering Black Adam   to listen to as well. So, feel free to check out all of these reviews, podcasts, lists, trailers, and other fun. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading! Weekly Recap: Black Adam, VHS, Wendell & Wild, Halloween & More!

Apparently, the time is now for a shift in power for the DC universe, as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is delivering Black Adam on the big screen. For a darker superhero movie, it has some goofy fun, and I wrote all about it here, along with a few other films, including the stop-motion film Wendell & Wild by Henry Selick and Jordan Peele . Plus, there are plenty of bonus horror-themed podcasts, including an extended conversation about Horror Movie Posters,   as well as my continued recaps of Atlanta  and The Walking Dead . Additionally, we have a new podcast episode covering Halloween Ends  to listen to as well. So, feel free to check out all of these reviews, podcasts, lists, trailers, and other fun. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading! Out Now Horror Special 2022: Horror Movie Posters

Image
This week’s   Out Now with Aaron and Abe horror special is digging into the arts of the macabre . Aaron is joined by The Brandon Peters Show’s Brandon Peters , Why So Blu’s Jason Coleman , and JoBlo’s “Skinny” Jimmy O to talk all about horror movie posters . The entire focus of this episode is on how these posters have evolved over the decades, from the 1910s all the way to the 2020s. The group even contributes their own chosen picks for favorite horror movie posters that span multiple decades (fortunately, Abe is able to join in, in spirit, for this portion of the show). From Drew Struzan to the marketing gimmick of 90s roll call posters, this discussion covers plenty of ground .
