Weekly Recap: Mortal Kombat, Oscar Predictions, In The Earth & More!

Is it fitting or hilarious that this week we have a new Mortal Kombat and the Academy Awards? Regardless, this week does bring back the fighting video game series to the world of cinema and it's pretty decent. Also out, a trippy horror film, In The Earth, which is worth a look too. And yes, in regards to the Oscars, I do have my list of picks with plenty of thoughts on all of them.

There's plenty more to check out too. Don't miss the podcasts from recent weeks, including our takes on a couple of Oscar nominees (Another Round and Promising Young Woman), and keep an eye out on the podcast feed to find more Oscar talk to come. I'm also still covering Invincible, and have reviews for every episode so far. Finally, check out my various essays, lists, and new trailers to dig into as well. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading!
