Out Now Commentary: Silence of the Lambs (1991)
This
month’s Out Now with Aaron and Abe commentary
track is going to help the lambs stop screaming. Aaron and (briefly) Abe are
joined by Brandon Peters, Yancy Berns, and Scott Mendelson to discuss
Jonathan
Demme’s take on Thomas Harris’ follow-up novel to Red Dragon, 1991’s The
Silence of the Lambs, starring Jodie Foster, Scott Glenn, Ted
Levine, and Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal
Lecter. This is the second of our Hannibal commentary series kicking
off the first five months of 2021, so get ready. Listen in to hear the group go
over the impact this film had as both an incredible crime drama/horror film, as
well as an Oscar-winning modern classic. There’s plenty more discussion about
the nature of the production, what makes this film stand out, the incredible
cast, and lots of fun tangents as well. So now, if you’ve got an hour
to kill…
