We've made it to the end of the month! I don't know about "having turned a corner" (hopefully a few days from now that phrase may be more fitting), but there's at least time for Halloween. While heading out to packed horror screenings is not quite as appropriate this year, this week's releases and what I've covered certainly makes up for it to some degree. This week has a few horror options ( Come Play, His House, Bad Hair ), along with some solid indies I covered as a part of some virtual film festivals ( Eyimofe, Waikiki ). We've also reached the end our October horror-themed bonuses on the podcast with our commentary track for Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho . Even during the height of a pandemic, there is not a lack of movies to see. Seriously, this week delivered a stupid amount of movies. So many that I have not even got to the new adaptation of  Rebecca   or the animated Netflix film directed by an Oscar-winning Disney animator ( Over the Moon ). And then there's AFI Fest, which offered plenty more films to screen virtually. Plenty of horror on my plate too, which will reach a finale of sorts next week, but let's get to what I did cover. This week brings in a sequel to Sacha Baron Cohen's first hit  Borat , a new adaptation of  Roald Dahl's  The Witches  from director  Robert Zemeckis , a very cool sci-fi film ( Synchronic ), some AFI Fest reviews, and more. This week’s Out Now with Aaron and Abe horror special takes a trip to Italia to take on some grisly mysteries. For this special, JoBlo's Jimmy O, Flicks For Fans' Jason Coleman , and The Brandon Peters Show's Brandon Peters join Aaron and Abe to discuss Giallo films (aka stylish Italian mystery thrillers) along with Italian horror films. It takes some time to put all these links together (not counting the time it takes to, y'know, write all these reviews). That said, I keep debating how conversational I want to make this portion of the recap. As it stands, I mainly want to point out that I've written 100 reviews within the "In-House Reviews" column alone, meaning that there's plenty of movies available for all to see, mostly via varying streaming services. Sure, it's a different kind of year for obvious reason, but if you're reading this with the intent of finding movies to watch, you can find links to read about so many different options.
