Out Now Bonus: The Platform
This week's Out Now with Aaron and Abe is hopefully
headed to a higher level, obviously. Aaron and Abe are joined by Professor
Mike Dillon to discuss The Platform, a Spanish sci-fi
thriller currently available to watch on Netflix. The group goes over
the high concept film from director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, and how it
goes about tackling both the cinematic element of its premise, as well as the social
commentary and more cerebral aspects. And please keep in that spoilers for the
film are a major component in this week’s main review, so if you plan to watch
the film and want to be surprised, be sure to do so before listening to the
episode. There’s also a discussion of some favorite films concerning the theme
of isolation. So now, if you've got an hour or so to kill...
Of course, in addition to
this episode, there are previous episodes to be found on the HHWLOD
Podcast Network, Stitcher
Radio, Soundcloud,
and at Podomatic
for past episodes and some exclusives. You can also have fun
participating on the official Facebook

blogs, and various photos. You can also
