The Top 100 Films of the Decade (2010 – 2019)

Choosing the best films of the decade was no small task. The best thing I can do at this point is to stop. Looking at a decade’s worth of films and trying to narrow down all the great movies I saw to merely 100, let alone rank them in some kind of order, is the kind of thing that will endlessly mess with my mind. So, I have to stop. I can keep rearranging some picks, but there’s no point in doing this over and over again. As of now, I’m pretty confident about the region where all of these films are placed (though don’t get me started on all the movies occupying slot 101).

The truth is, this past decade was full of incredible movies. Many stood out for a good reason, and if a chunk of the films some may expect to see near the top end up being there, that doesn’t make this list boring. Really, it goes to show the sort of consistency in opinion there is when it comes to certain films transcending individual reviews and being elevated as future classics. At the same time, whether the films presented ended up in the top ten, the top 25, or the lower half of the list, this is a list of films that delivered something strong enough to stand out in a way that reflects quality filmmaking that stuck with me. So, here are my picks for the top 100 films of the last decade, from 2010 to 2019.
