This week has a shiny new release in the form of The Invisible Man , which is very good. A number of solid films in limited release to look out for as well. Plus, I have an early review of Pixar's   latest, Onward . Plenty of new releases on home media as well, including some very enjoyable films like Knives Out  and Color Out of Space , along with several Criterion Collection  reviews. Choosing the best films of the decade was no small task. The best thing I can do at this point is to stop. Looking at a decade’s worth of films and trying to narrow down all the great movies I saw to merely 100, let alone rank them in some kind of order, is the kind of thing that will endlessly mess with my mind. So, I have to stop. I can keep rearranging some picks, but there’s no point in doing this over and over again. As of now, I’m pretty confident about the region where all of these films are placed (though don’t get me started on all the movies occupying slot 101).

Despite being a holiday weekend, there's only so much the movies have to offer. That said, Sonic the Hedgehog  joins the ranks of being one of the few good video game movies. Meanwhile, Downhill   is a poor American remake. Other films are out there as well, but best to seek out newly-crowned Best Picture winner Parasite , among other Oscar winners.
