Weekly Recap: Terminator, Motherless Brooklyn, Harriet & More!


It's a packed week to kick off November. I have reviews here for Terminator: Dark Fate, along with Motherless Brooklyn and Harriet, all of which are varying degrees of good. There's also an early review up for the Stephen King adaptation of Doctor Sleep, and some other great films are now in wider release. I also have a review for the latest Watchmen episode, along with some other new writing up. There are also plenty of new trailers to dig into as well.   • Terminator: Dark Fate - The series is back and it's actually pretty good this time. Arnold and a returning Linda Hamilton are great.
  • Motherless Brooklyn - Edward Norton writes, directs, and stars in a an enjoyable crime drama.
  • Harriet - A familiarly structured biopic with strong about an American hero.
  • Early Review: Doctor Sleep - A solid follow-up to The Shining.
  • Jojo Rabbit - A sweet and very funny look at a complicated time through exaggerated means. (now in more theaters)
  • Parasite - A dark comedy and Hitchcockian thriller. One of the year's best films.
