This latest entry in the 2019 Out Now with Aaron and Abe horror specials
puts focus on one specific film. Thanks to a contest collaboration with Professor
Mike Dillon, Aaron and Abe are joined by him to discuss Wes Craven’s People
Under the Stairs. This is the director’s 1991 horror-comedy that works
as both a funhouse horror flick, as well as an interesting social commentary taking
a satirical look at capitalism, gentrification, and class warfare. The group
get in various discussions about the themes of the film, the performances, what
makes it effective, and the career of Wes Craven. So now, if you've got an hour
or so to kill…
