Weekly Recap: Fantastic Beasts, Widows, Green Book, Buster Scruggs & More!

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the film hitting the most theaters this weekend, so it gets prime mention here, though I wish it were better. Meanwhile, Widows delivers an excellent heist thriller for adults, and the Coen Brothers have plenty of darkly comedic fun with their western anthology, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, now on Netflix. The big Oscar player, Green Book, is now in limited release as well, so be sure to look out for that. And I have some other reviews of upcoming theatrical releases. There are also a couple of home releases I have reviews for, in addition to my continued TV write-ups for The Walking Dead. And finally, be sure to check out this week's podcast covering Overlord and more. Thanks for reading and listening!

In Theaters Now:

(A bit of a letdown for this franchise)

(It's great, a solid thriller for adults)

(The Coen Brothers do their thing in this western anthology on Netflix)

(Willem Dafoe is a great Van Gogh)

(A compelling family drama/mystery)

(Good ideas here)
